My mazda has been fucked for a while now. I need to find someone that knows electrical good. I have no power source at all. The only power the car has is to the headlights, that's it. No dome light, power windows, dash lights...NOTHING. I think it is the ignition switch, but am not 100% sure. I have jumped the main fuse, nothing.....hopefully someone has an idea of what I can do. My neighbour is a naval electrician, perhaps he will lend a hand.
Thanks

Hey Whitey if you don't have dash lights or a dome light then it shouldn't be your ignition switch. Its is probally somewhere in the main distribution panel under the hood. Lots of luck and remember red+black=sparks

But the car won't even turn over......not even a click....and I have checked all fuses under the hood. I think I am in trouble with this one......

Chexk the main fuse in your panel, it should be a big round one. If it has been fried you won't get any power to your ECM and no go as a result. Your lights work on a relay straight from the battery ( this is why you can use your lights with the car not running). Let me know what you find.

I'm just too damn lazy to look at it. I'll get to it next spring since I know the car ain't going to be on the road for a while. It needs additional work also.

I'll have lots of time this winter while she sits in a heated garage! Gotta love good friends and affordable storage! My car hasn't seen the road in the winter since 02/03.

hehehe, yeah I can relate with Whitey. I get no traction with my bike in the winter whatsoever. hahahaa... Lazy bastard, call yourself hardcore, call yourself a tuner. When's the last time you made love to your exhaust pipe? Huh? ...That's what I thought...get out there and fix that car.
